Farm Celebration Dinner
Our dedicated farmers have the bounty of the Pacific Northwest at their fingertips and have been providing Volunteer Park Cafe with farm-fresh produce, meats, and dairy since our conception. Their beautiful locally grown and raised products bring constant inspiration to Ericka & Heather.
The multi-course family style dinner on Saturday, September 12 will feature products from Full Circle Farms, Foraged and Found Edibles, Pipitone Farms, and Northwest hazelnut finished pork from Tails & Trotters in Oregon. Friends, family and kids enjoyed a casual family style dining experience while they bellied up to our long communal table and sat next to the farmers as we share platters of their bounty.
“I really wanted to pay homage to these amazing, hardworking people,” said Burke. “They take such pride in what they grow and produce, it makes my job much more enjoyable.”
The menu was created that morning depending on what showed up and featured produce harvested by the farmers themselves: heirloom beans, tomatoes, summer squash, ripe stone fruit, lovely artisan lettuce, heirloom pork and much more.
